This 17-hour restorative yoga program is designed for yoga teachers and dedicated students who want to understand rest on a deeper level — whether to share it with others or to nourish their own practice.
Restorative Yoga uses intentional support, quiet pacing, and nervous-system awareness to create conditions where the body can unwind and replenish. Over the course of the weekend, participants explore the foundations of restorative practice, the science of relaxation, and hands-on techniques for setting up supported postures so they feel safe, accessible, and deeply therapeutic.
We’ll work with props, sequencing, trauma-aware cueing, breath and meditation integration, and practical adaptations for common needs such as anxiety, fatigue, low-back discomfort, and stress. You’ll experience the practices in your own body, reflect on the role of rest in your life, and—if you’re a teacher—learn how to skillfully guide others into this work.
Participants will have opportunities to practice teaching (optional for students who are not instructors), receive supportive coaching, and leave with ready-to-use tools. Because this course is led by a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, teachers earn 17 CE hours recognized by Yoga Alliance, and all participants receive a certificate of completion.
This training is nurturing, grounded, and practical — ideal for teachers expanding their offerings and students who want to cultivate a more restorative, sustainable relationship with their practice.
